OUR PATIENT'S IVF JOURNEY

Your IVF journey clear supportive steps

We recognize that the journey toward parenthood is more than a medical process – it’s a deeply personal and life-defining experience. Whether you’re venturing into IVF for the very first time or returning with renewed strength and hope, our expert team is here to support you with compassionate care and world-class reproductive solutions tailored specifically to you.

Every step of the IVF process is shaped by a singular vision: to walk alongside you with compassion, clinical excellence, and unwavering support.

✅ Step 1: Booking Your Appointment

Your IVF journey begins with a single, important step - scheduling your initial consultation at Viva Fertility Clinic. This appointment lays the foundation for everything ahead, so a little preparation goes a long way in making it insightful, empowering, and stress-free

🩺 Step 2: Initial Consultation & Evaluation

Your first face-to-face session with our fertility experts marks a pivotal step in your IVF journey. This consultation is far more than just a meet-and-greet - it’s a deep dive into your reproductive health, a moment of discovery, and the beginning of a customized pathway to parenthood.

💉 Step 5: Treatment Initiation

With your fertility assessments complete and your personalized plan in hand, we now begin the active phase of your IVF journey. This is where science meets timing, and every decision is designed to optimize outcomes. The most common next step is ovarian stimulation, though your path may differ based on your diagnosis and plan. This step involves daily injections or oral pills, depending or your treatment program.

Step 6: Egg Retrieval & Fertilization

This phase marks a significant milestone in your IVF journey: the collection of mature eggs and the beginning of fertilization. Once the egg follicles measure about 18mm - 24mm, your egg retrieval is scheduled approximately 34 - 36 hours after the trigger injection - timed precisely for optimal egg maturity.

Step 7: Embryo Transfer

Embryo transfer is one of the most pivotal moments in the IVF journey. At Viva Fertility, we perform embryo transfers exclusively on Day 5 or 6, when embryos reached blastocyst stage. The quality and number of embryos to be transferred will be discussed with you. Only the healthiest blastocysts with high implantation potential are transferred.

Step 8: Luteal Support

Hormonal support with progesterone and estradiol continues post- embryo transfer. Pregnancy test is scheduled 14 days after to confirm whether implantation was successful.. Whether your result is positive or not, our team stands ready with compassionate guidance for next steps. If pregnancy test is positive, luteal support is continued until 12 weeks gestation and a luteal support fee will be charged.

Find clear, trusted answers to the most common questions about IVF—designed to guide and support you every step of the way.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the leading Medically Assisted
Reproductive (MAR) treatment used to address various forms of
infertility. The primary goal of IVF is to help
individuals or couples affected by infertility to achieve pregnancy and
become parents.

IVF typically involves:

  • Ovarian stimulation

  • Egg retrieval

  • Fertilization in the laboratory

  • Embryo development

  • Embryo transfer

A full cycle usually takes 4–6 weeks. though it may extend depending on individual circumstances.

IVF may be recommended for:

  • Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes

  • Endometriosis

  • Low sperm count or sperm quality issues

  • PCOS or ovulation disorders

  • Uterine fibroids

  • Unexplained infertility

  • Genetic conditions requiring PGT

  • Fertility preservation before cancer treatment

  • IUI: Sperm is placed directly into the uterus; fertilization occurs naturally.

  • IVF: Fertilization occurs in the lab, and embryos are transferred into the uterus. IUI is less invasive and less expensive but has lower success rates.

Success depends on factors such as age, egg quality, sperm quality, and underlying medical conditions. Younger women generally have higher success rates.

Many women who conceive through IVF go on to have normal healthy babies.

Yes, Intra‑Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) will be required to achieve fertilization. This procedure involves injecting a single sperm into each egg to increase the chances of successful fertilization

We transfer 1 - 3 embryos, this depends on age, embryo quality, and medical history. Many clinics recommend single embryo transfer to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancy.

PGT may be recommended for patients with known genetic conditions, recurrent pregnancy loss, or advanced maternal age.
